Capped.TV – Still going, updated encoding core stuff, soon videos will be served from different directories. Also note, I’m going for a 3-quality system [HD, medium quality, and Flash 6] which will be selectable soon.
Phlix.TV – Dead. [Missed domain payment, lack of upkeep through server changes] Will put the semi-restored project on micksam7.com soon.
RuneTracker – A mess due to name changing junk. Have no way to fix it at the moment. It works, things are still logged. Some things may break. Cannot do a lot at the moment.
RScript Stuff – Need to move RsS’ database to mySQL. Beyond that, things seem to work still. Others can grab what’s broke here at least and fix it. [yay]
I’ve been unable to do much due to personal things affecting me [girlfriend has been missing for 5 weeks ...], and some upcoming trips will put me out of action till December.
It sucks, but eh. I’m not abandoning anything though.
Some more recent demos I thought should be shared.
First we have a Wrath by Matt Current. Win32 demo. Mostly dark and whatnot.
Next up, some fun little thing by ASD titled Chameleon. Win32, some 2D art and 3D. They made this in a few days for a random compo.
Here, have Lightshaft by Elude, a modern Amiga demo. Yay low res.
Now for something completely different, Frameranger by Fairlight, Orange, and CNCD [whew], once again a Win32 demo, and probably the biggest demo of the year so far. Random more main-stream oriented car/robo scenes, followed by more proper effects known of the scene. This thing runs like crap in real time though even on a high end rig.
Sorry, no oldskool platforms here this time, unless you count the upgraded amiga used for the Elude demo.
I recently slid onto Amazon’s Mechanical Turk a bit ago, enticed primarily with HE’s $30 IPv6 HIT. [That was a fun one, thanks to Softlayer for having fully IPv6-enabled NS servers]

There’s a user on MTurk recently aptly named “Image Editing”, posting mostly jobs relating to, you guessed it, image editing. They have a interesting way to find editors eligible, enticing with small funds and a easy job, applying the qualifications to the user if they complete it correctly.
Seems the site behind it is called Slide Scanning Pros – A slide scanning service [heh] with some bonus imaging editing tucked away in there.
Sure would like to see more from them, though their first ‘real work’ HIT was a bit confusing with the description [though their Image Editing page has a slightly confusing selection in any case].
Lately around the internet, particularly tech forums and other places, Wordpress has been critisized for it’s security flaws, and it’s plugins.
In particular, people critizie wordpress because a lot of user-submitted plugins are highly vunerable to specific attacks and other things due to bad coding.
I’d like to remind people, that once again these plugins are user-submitted.
As well, plugin security issues is in no way unique to wordpress. Plenty of other software – forums, CMSes, blogs, and other things – that support plugins have these issues. It’s not unique to wordpress.
